| March 31 | Monday | Gainesville / District 14-2A Tournament | Girls |
The Callisburg Lady Cat Golf team fought high winds and a rainy forecast to outlast the S&S Lady Rams in the District 14-2A golf tournament held at Gainesville Municipal Golf Course on Monday. Taylor Klutts of Callisburg had a fantastic round of 73 to win the individual title. Callisburg shot a team score of 347, while S&S shot 381. “This was quite an accomplishment for these young ladies to shoot these type numbers in the conditions they had to play in today. This was 10 shots better than their team score they shot at state last year” say Coach Randy Romines. The S&S Lady Rams shot their season low which is the second best round of the region this year behind Callisburg. Callisburg “B” was the third place team with a score of 437. Shelby Potz-Nielson of Callisburg and Taylor Murray of Howe both qualified for the regional tournament as the top medalists.
