We have had to change the date of the sport banquet.  The new date is May 4th Wednesday @ 6:30. Invitations are coming soon.

We are getting ready for Fireworks world.  We will be making calls for shift leaders very soon.  This is our largest fundraiser and your help is needed.

Coach Hayes made some suggestions for Homecoming.  It looks like that will take palce on October 14th against Paradise.
Coach Hayes made a request for training equipment.  The Booster club approved.

There will be a picnic for the Jr. High athletes in May


Coach Hayes Update

• Junior High Track is in full swing with the teams competing in the Whitesboro track meet a week ago with the 7^th grade boys finishing 2^nd and the girls finishing 4^th. The 8^th grade boys finished in 5^th with the 8^th grade girls finishing in 5^th. This past Monday the track teams competed at Muenster with the 7^th grade boys winning the track meet by 100pts, and the girls finishing a strong 4^th place finish. The 8^th grade boys finished 5^th with the 8^th grade girls improving with a 4^th place finish.
• Baseball team is 5-6 for the season and 0-1 in district with a tournament this weekend in Lindsay. The Softball team is 10-4-1 and 2-0 in district and on a roll with a tournament this weekend in Lindsay as well.
• James Jackson qualified for the State Power Lifting Meet in Abilene next week, with Jake Barton, Cody Morrison going as alternates.
• Process of setting up Jr. High and JV tournaments for Volleyball and Basketball for next season. Coaches are sending out invitations for these events.
• Look at Aug 6^th, our Maroon/White scrimmage as a "Meet the Wildcats" with the Volleyball teams, Football teams, cheerleaders and coaches being introduced. Some type of hotdog supper for parents and athletes.
• Tennis competed at the Wichita Falls tennis tournament but no report to date, and the golf teams played Monday the girls finished 2 and shot a lot better than previous tournaments, as well as the boys who finished 4^th.
