The Callisburg
7th grade football team won their home opener vs aubrey.
8-7. The wining touchdown came on an 85 yd run by Abel Vasquez
and the
conversion by Chase Caldwell gave the Wildcats enough to secure the
victory. Next week they play at gunter

Callisburg 8th grade football
The 8th grade football team dominated Aubrey 32-8 in the season
opener. Morgan Rigsby rushed 12 times for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sam Cross rushed 8 times for 87 yards for
1 touchdown. Travis Tolbert 7 rushes for 74 yards for 1 touchdown.
Defensive standouts were Chris Burgess
with 2 sacks and 9 tackles. Morgan Rigsby 8 tackles.
Next game will be at home against Gunter Tigers on
September 15th.

On Saturday Callisburg competed in the valley view invitational.
In the Middle School ladies race Abigail Dewitt finished with a time of 25:49.
Carlee Eldridge finished with a
time of 20:57. Morgan Parker finished with a time 20:57. In the JV girls division Jessica Day finished with a time of
22:21. Victoria Sicking finished with a time of 18:28. Kaylee Eldrige finished with a time of 18:19. Renee Van Tassel lead
the Callisburg ladies squad with a time of 17:13. The middle school boys had Jake Sundbye finish with a time of 14:49.
Andrew Matherly finished with a time of 14:30 and finishing in the top ten at 4th place out of 103 runners was Garrett Shellonberger
with a time of 12:57. Let our runners know we appreciate their hard work and coach Freeman is very proud of them.
