Lady Cat volleyball all-district honors

 
The Lady Cat volleyball team walked away with some top honors this week in the 10-2A all-district list.
  • Tara Wescoat - Offensive MVP
  • Kenzie Rohrbaugh - Co-newcomer of the year

Middle School Volleyball teams do well in district tourney

 
The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams had a strong showing at the district tournament this past weekend.

The 7th grade team beat Pilot Point and Pottsboro on their way to a 3rd place finish.

The 8th grade girls beat Valley View, S&S, and Ponder as they brought home the 1st place trophy.

Congratulations to these fine young ladies on their fine showing.

August 11 Tuesday Texoma Christian Away JV, Varsity Callisburg opened the season with a win over Texoma Christian.  This game was all about offense as Callisburg collected 50 Kills to Texoma Christian's 36.  Tara Wescoat led the way for the Lady Cats with 17 kills.  Lauren Kirby had 19 kills and 3 blocks for the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Cats offense was at its best all season collecting 38 Kills.  The defense played excellent as well adding 23 blocks and 29 Digs.

August 21 Friday Tom Bean Home 9th, JV, Varsity The Lady Cat volleyball teams continued their strong start to the season with a sweep of Tom Bean on Friday.  The varsity win brings their season record to 7-3.

Callisburg 9th team dominated this game from the start.  The Lady Cat servers were almost perfect on the night only missing 1 serve.  Ashley Willams picked up 8 assists on the night.

Callisburg played a very athletic Sherman squad a tight match all night.  The Lady Cats played excellent defense picking up 42 digs as a team and collecting 15 blocks on the night.  The Lady Cats will play in the Argyle Tournament this weekend.

August 27, 29 Thursday/ Saturday Argyle Tournament Away Varsity The Lady Cats finished with 2 wins and 4 losses in the very tough Argyle Tournament.  The tournament was made up of 4A, 3A, and 2A teams.

The Lady Cats fell short to the 4A Wichita Falls Lady Coyotes in the 3rd place game of the Silver Division.  This was a tough game, but the offense finally came out swinging in this game.  The team combined for 50 kills on the afternoon.  Tara Wescoat, Taylor Curtwright, and Sara Richadson all had their best games of the season, but fell short.
